Further to earlier posts about stars of other sports and their fondness for tennis, Timea Bacsinszky had a fellow countrywoman offering support in her attempt to win in Miami. In fact, none other than a newly-crowned world champion; fellow Swiss Lara Gut recently became the first from their country to win the Alpine Skiing World Cup in more than two decades.
Enjoying some well-earned down time, she quickly headed to southern Florida to watch some tennis, specifically Timea, who Lara reckoned was: 'Playing awesome and it's really fun to watch'. After a run in the Miami Open that includes defeats of both top-fivers Agnieszka Radwanska and Simona Halep, we can only defer to her fine judgement!
