A couple of French guys met for the first time recently, but a really long way from home. In town for the Miami Open presented by Itau, the popular French player took the chance to say hi to Evan Fournier, the Orlando Magic shooting guard. Of course, there was the obligatory basketball on the finger twirling, but the pair took the chance to compliment each other's sports and offer support for their fellow countryman.
It did give pause that, when you see Jo-Wilfried on a tennis court, he seems such an imposing dude, yet if they had played one-on-one for fun, he would be giving almost half a foot away to Evan. It's somehow reassuring to know that great height isn't such a pre-requisite for our sport!
