Andy Murray never used to be mentioned much in terms of possible winners at Roland Garros in the Parisian springtime. However, last year's triumphs in both Munich and Madrid, plus his unforgettable performances in the Davis Cup Final, suggests an awkward transition to clay court tennis in past years is now less of a problem.
The sense this time round is that the Scot now expects to have a good clay court season; especially remembering that he only came up short at the French, thanks to Novak in the semis, where the Scot came back from two sets down to force a decider. A stellar rematch is just one intriguing possibility as the month unfolds towards the French.
