Professional tennis players always look to take something from matches, even when they've been beaten fairly comprehensively. This was certainly the case with Milos Raonic, despite winning only two games in his final loss to Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells - including a blob, bagel, or a donut, depending on your preference, in the second set. He actually won 23 of 30 points when his first serve worked, but it just didn't function often enough.
He pointed out afterwards that, until just a couple of weeks before, thanks to an abductor injury from Melbourne, he hadn't been playing any points or even making side-to-side movements. The Canadian committed himself to working harder and executing better. During the match, he did appear to be hampered by a lower-body injury, so here's hoping it clears up quickly and this popular player can soon be back to full fitness.
