Current world number one Serena Williams continued her dominance at the Miami Open in Key Biscayne, Florida by polishing off Zarina Diyas in round three. Serena, who’s an eight-time champion in Miami, hasn’t lost a match in this venue since 2012.
This win gives her a stunning 15th appearance in Miami’s Sweet 16 and her 750th career match win. This places Serena in the number seven spot on the list of Women’s Tennis Association All-Time Match Win Leaders. She’s just three wins behind Lindsay Davenport and nine behind Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario to place her in the top five behind legendary tennis pros Virginia Wade, Steffi Graf, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova.
