1. ASSESSMENT: TECHNICAL, PHYSICAL, MENTALIn the first stage, the student will communicate his/her goals in the areas that need to be improved. It is this first step that the student recognize his/her deficiencies within the discussed topic. The coach will make suggestions and work out a plan to improve the deficiencies. 2. OBJECTIVE: CORRECTIVE TECHNIQUESBoth the student and the coach will now discuss the what, how, when, where, and why to correct the deficiencies, and/or to enhance the current acquired skills. Applications from biomechanic, physiology, and psychology will help the student grasp and improve his/her techniques at a faster rate. |
3. PROGRAMMING: PROGRESSIONS/PATTERNSAt this steps, progressive drills, challenges and patterns are devised for the students to perform in series of challenges made of smaller components. These challenged progressions, with PST attentional control, are designed aid student's skills acquisition rate. The ultimate objective would be for the student to synthesize the concept at hand. 4. APPLICATIONS: POINT/MATCH PLAYThis last stage of a private training session will tie everything together relating to the current theme/topic discussed. Live point-play/match-play to test the improved forms and techniques. Should the student is not ready for point-play/match-play, we'll step back to our drawing board. We'll continue to do this until the student is confident to apply the skills acquired. |
